Lauren McCormick, Communications Specialist, St. Paul's Senior Services
Many seniors, caregivers, and family members seek help from St. Paul's Senior Services during difficult situations that they did not expect or plan for. During the aging process, most seniors face challenging and unexpected circumstances, and we often see family members struggling to make the best decision for their loved one. These issues range from health insurance and paying for care to senior living options and navigating a loved one’s final wishes.
St. Paul’s Senior Services’ goal in 2019 is to educate seniors and their families on the important issues they need to know in order to plan for their future. To do this, we have launched St. Paul’s Educational Workshop Series, “Plan for Tomorrow, Today!” The series began in February 2019 and since then three workshops have served over 60 seniors and caregivers.
Each workshop includes presentations from San Diego’s most knowledgeable experts in the local senior industry. Attendees receive a free planning binder packed full of tools and helpful information, such as a checklist of essential legal documents to gather and organize, caregiving resources, end of life planning tips, financial and insurance information, and more.
Seeing families struggle through these changes has motived St. Paul’s to create this comprehensive series of free, educational workshops in order to help seniors and their families be proactive in planning for the future.
“This was a great seminar. It was very thoughtful, compassionate, helpful, motivational, and insightful,” shared one participant. “This is exactly the information I needed,” shared another.
If you or someone you know may benefit from any of these services, programs, or St. Paul’s Educational Series, “Plan for Tomorrow, Today,” attend one of their upcoming workshops:
