The San Diego Association of Governments is developing a bold new transportation vision for San Diego Forward: The 2021 Regional Plan to transform the way people and goods move throughout the San Diego region. As a first major step, key strategies – known as the 5 Big Moves – were introduced to set the framework for the new transportation vision.  

The 5 Big Moves – Complete Corridors, Transit Leap, Mobility Hubs, Flexible Fleets, and Next Operating System (Next OS) – embrace innovations in transportation technology that are changing how we travel daily. The 2021 Regional Plan will synchronize these strategic initiatives to enhance and repurpose existing infrastructure to connect major destinations and employment centers with where people live. 

This summer, SANDAG is holding a series of 45-minute webinars to learn more about the 5 Big Moves. During the webinars, industry experts will share how the private and public sectors are embracing these innovations across the world to improve the movement of people and goods. Each webinar will conclude with a question and answer session.
