Northgate Gonzalez Market is teaming up with the County of San Diego for another year of Love Your Heart by offering free blood pressure screenings to the public on February 14, 2019 in support of a healthy, safe and thriving region.  This year, Northgate Gonzalez Market plans to reach more people than previous years by expanding the number of screening sites they host to include all eight San Diego County stores, three stores in Orange County and two stores in Los Angeles. In addition, all stores participating as screening sites will offer a food demonstration by Avocados from Mexico featuring heart healthy avocado based recipes.

Participating in the Love Your Heart event is one of the many ways Northgate Gonzalez Market supports its customers and staff, who they refer to as associates. As a large food retailer, their goal is to be a trusted source of health information for the community. They offer nutrition and chronic disease education, food demonstrations and cooking classes, to both their associates and their customers. By providing opportunities to help residents and associates proactively engage in their health, Northgate Gonzalez Market is demonstrating their commitment to advancing the Live Well San Diego vision.

Now in its 8^th year, Love Your Heart helps tens of thousands of people annually across San Diego, the US and Mexico take their heart health into their own hands through free blood pressure screenings.
