For the first time ever, Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, one of the largest Planned Parenthood affiliates in the country, produced a website to showcase their 2021 Annual Report. As always, the report takes a close look at the important work accomplished last year providing sexual and reproductive health care, education, and advocacy, while also raising up the powerful stories of their patients.

In it you can view an interactive map showing the 19 health centers that provided services to more than 117,000 patients last year, including those seeking birth control, cancer screenings, STI testing and treatment, gender-affirming hormone therapy, and coordinated care for patients whose needs go beyond sexual and reproductive health care. In addition to opening a brand-new health center in the city of Hemet and expanding their busy health centers in Rancho Mirage and Kearny Mesa, they’ve invested in telehealth services, enabling over 15,000 patients to access care remotely. With this year’s launch of Sex Ed To-Go, their online sexual education and teacher training portal, they’ve increased access to comprehensive, medically accurate sex education, ensuring young people get the information they need to stay healthy.

“At Planned Parenthood, they are not just giving you a product, they take the time to answer all of your questions” shared Aysia, a patient at a San Diego Planned Parenthood Health Center. “They never look at you weird no matter what question you ask. They know that people will be nervous, so they create a calm and safe space to get health care.”

The production of a digital version of their Annual Report allowed Planned Parenthood to reach an even greater audience of donors, supporters, and other organizations. Additionally, the digital annual report gives audiences a greater depth of understanding about the organization, with video features, an interactive map, and links to more info about their local affiliate.
