Carne Thompson of Carlsbad stopped by San Marcos Fire Station 2 to get her blood pressure taken with her kids, Seth and Hannah. She was encouraged to get screened by her employer, Scripps Encinitas. She had the day off so she went online to find the most convenient screening location and found the fire station. When asked why she wanted to participate in Love Your Heart, she said; "I want to set a good example for my kids to live healthy lives."
