US Healthworks is partnering with the County's South Bay Regional Center at 500 Third Avenue in Chula Vista to staff a blood pressure screening site today in support of the Love Your Heart campaign.
David Alvarez said that he got screened because it his age, heart disease becomes more prominent, so whenever he sees an opportunity for health services, he tries to take advantage of them. After his screening, Alvarez said that he knew his blood pressure might be high, so has been eating better and exercising to address this issue. He wants to tell his family: "Happy Valentine's Day!"
Jose Cervantes decided to get a free blood pressure screening to see
if he is healthy or if he needs to see a doctor. After his screening,
he said he feels better knowing that he got his numbers checked. He
hasn't had a screening in about 8 years. He plans to get his blood
pressure checked more regularly in the future.
His message to
his family on Valentine's Day: "Stay safe, happy Valentine's Day
and God Bless!"
