First time Love Your Heart volunteer, Andrei Pagilinan, is committed to being proactive in his community. A second year student within the Cal State University San Marcos Nursing Program, he was proud to be a part of Friday’s Love Your Heart event where free blood pressure screenings were offered throughout the San Diego County.  Pagilinan volunteered at the Oceanside Library where he screened Oceanside residents and provided resources about heart health throughout the day.

With Valentine’s Day the day after, the event promoted heart health while also encouraging those who get screened to “share the love” with their family members and friends by telling them to get screened as well.

When asked what he would like to say to his family for Valentine’s Day, Pagilinan said; “I love you mom and dad, and I hope I am making you guys proud!”
