On February 14 San Diego Youth Services will be celebrating two special events.
First, San Diego Youth Services will take part in Love Your Heart as a screening site offering free blood pressure screenings to help community members "know their numbers" and take charge of their heart health. They will be hosting a community resource fair for the public and community members are encouraged to attend and explore the many resources available in San Diego. They will have information regarding health care providers, health insurance, public assistance and benefits programs, resources for undocumented youth, childcare, work readiness and job placement, education, assistance for survivors of torture, behavioral and mental health emergency intervention and more.
Second, San Diego Youth Services will receive their official Live Well San Diego Recognized Partner designation. Live Well San Diego Recognized Partners are leaders of change in their communities, committed to setting an example and sharing knowledge and resources with other organizations to broaden collective impact. They take their activities to the next level by implementing innovative programs, policies and practices that support healthy, safe and thriving communities.
Please join San Diego Youth Services to celebrate their new partnership and take charge of your heart health on February 14. Their community resource fair will take place at 3845 Spring Drive, Spring Valley 91977 from 10am-1pm. The Taco Picasso Food Truck will be on site from 11am-1pm.
