This month, Live Well San Diego welcomed its 250th Recognized Partner: Scripps Health. They joined the Live Well San Diego network of local innovators, collaborators and change-makers who are working tirelessly every day to improve the lives of San Diegans.
“When Live Well San Diego launched in 2010, it was clear that in order to move the dial on the issues most critical for our region—from chronic diseases, to safe neighborhoods, to financial literacy, to thriving environments—we would need the help of the entire San Diego community,” explained Nick Macchione, Director of the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency. “Since then, it’s been remarkable to see 250 local partners—from businesses, to schools, to faith- and community-based organizations, to hospitals/clinics, to governments—step up and accept the call to action to help all San Diegans ‘Live Well.’”
It is through the strength of a diverse array of partners that the Live Well San Diego vision is able to achieve collective impact on community wellness and make San Diego the healthiest, safest, most thriving region in the nation. This latest achievement continues the momentum that Recognized Partners, County government and community stakeholders have built as they journey onward towards the shared vision in 2017.
