Start the Year Off Right with SDCCU Financial Wellness Wednesdays

Start the New Year off right by getting your finances on track for a successful 2016 and beyond! SDCCU has partnered with the San Diego County Library in support of the Live Well San Diego initiative to host Financial Wellness Wednesdays. From January through March, SDCCU will host Financial Wellness Wednesdays seminars at local libraries on a variety of topics aimed at improving financial health.

“SDCCU is proud to partner with our local libraries to deliver presentations focused on improving the financial health and future of individuals in our community. We encourage everyone to kick-off the New Year right by attending any of the Financial Wellness Wednesdays presentations at their local library,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Halleck.

Financial Wellness Wednesdays topics include: Ten Simple Steps to Financial Success (also touches on wills and trusts); Understanding Credit Reports; Preventing Identity Theft & Scams; Building a Better Budget; Rebuilding After a Financial Crisis; Repaying Student Loans; and Teens & Money. “SDCCU is committed to helping individuals make educated decisions by delivering the BEST financial products, services and education,” said Halleck.

As San Diego’s largest locally-owned financial institution and a Live Well San Diego partner, SDCCU is dedicated to improving overall economic well-being by engaging in several financial wellness efforts. Research shows that poor financial health can often lead to diminished physical health. Also, evidence suggests that the average high-school graduate lacks basic skills to manage personal finances, many young people experience difficulty balancing a checkbook and half of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. Together, we can help change these statistics and improve the financial health of our communities.
