The 2015-16 year at San Diego State University kicked off with the Live Well Aztecs Festival for residence hall students. The festival included activities such as healthy eating demos, yoga, Baxter the therapy dog, and safety related sessions. New meditation and yoga classes were offered as free programs for the campus community throughout the fall and spring semesters. The Live Well Aztecs noon time walking group continued to grow in popularity including President Hirshman joining the group for a walk in March. Two new Live Well Late Night programs, the 3 on 3 Basketball Jam and Fitness Jam, were offered during the spring hundreds of students attending. The effort of San Diego State University and the Live Well Aztecs initiative to foster a culture that values and supports health and well-being was recognized this spring as San Diego State University became the first four year University in San Diego to be named an official Live Well San Diego partner.
