Home Start's Live Well committee decided last March to make it our goal to reduce waste within our offices and within our community by creating the Home Start Recycling Program.

To reduce plastic waste, we distributed re-usable water bottles to all 112 Home Start staff. In July of 2017, we decided to take it a step further and create a recycling program at our work to reduce our carbon footprint and to create a previously non-existent Live Well Fund.

After placing 4 recycling bins throughout our different branches of our non-profit, we have earned a total of $115.22 within a year. We use this fund to support our office by buying items that promote a healthy lifestyle and raffling them off to our staff members.
