South Bay Sustainability Fair Promotes Saving Green While Going Green

The National City Chamber of Commerce (NCCC) is excited to host the South Bay Sustainability Fair on Saturday, June 10 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., at the National City Chamber of Commerce Courtyard (901 National City Blvd., National City, CA 91950).

The South Bay Sustainability Fair is a free community event that helps promote various programs, products, and services available to help you be more sustainable; saving green while going green.

The NCCC is bringing this fun, educational event to South Bay community residents, adults and children; it’s never too early or too late to learn how to make a positive impact on our environment! NCCC also encourages businesses and professionals to come learn about ways to save money by implementing sustainable business practices through various programs and rebates.

Most importantly, this event is a platform to showcase the many benefits of reducing our carbon footprint by living a clean, healthy, and conscious lifestyle driven by sustainability. The goal is to positively contribute towards the achievement of California’s Climate Strategy to reduce greenhouse gases and move toward a clean, sustainable future.

Among the many exhibitors, San Diego Gas & Electric and TechniArt will be on site offering an 8 pack of LED light bulbs for only $10! Two lucky winners will win one boy and one girl bike donated by Rady Children’s Hospital, children of all ages can participate in the Play and Learn area hosted by Mundo Gardens, businesses will be able to sign up to take advantage of a no-cost energy and water evaluation, the National Electrical Contractors Association and IBEW 569 will be providing training opportunities, DePassion Fruit will be offering healthy and sustainable lunch options, and many organizations will be showcasing what they are doing in our community to help us be more sustainable!
