FREE CALFRESH SCREENINGS AND ASSISTANCE AT UPCOMING COMMUNITY EVENTS

May is CalFresh Awareness Month in California and the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency along with its community partners will be at several upcoming community events where people can receive free screenings and application assistance for CalFresh.

CalFresh is critical to good nutrition for many families and individuals, helping to supplement food budgets and put nutritious food on the table. Stop by one of the many free events in your neighborhood to learn more about the program and to apply.

To find an event in your area:

CalFresh is the new name for the Food Stamp Program in California and is also known as the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). CalFresh is a federal supplemental nutrition program for low-income families and individuals that meet certain income guidelines.
