Live Well San Diego recognized partners were honored on October 27 during a Partner Appreciation Event that culminated with accolades from the San Diego County Board of Supervisors during a formal presentation of the Live Well San Diego Partners Report during their Tuesday morning meeting.  The event kicked-off with a casual networking reception before the Board presentation to help further spark partner collaboration and inspire collective action between organizations.  Partners in attendance represented the full range of the region’s diverse stakeholders and are considered influential, innovative, forward thinking organizations that are measuring progress towards results that support the shared Live Well San Diego vision of a region that is Building Better Health, Living Safely, and Thriving.

Partners from well over 100 organizations were in attendance and hailed from each of the four partner sectors, including Cities and Governments, Schools and Education, Community and Faith-based organizations, and Businesses and Media. 

Following the reception, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors meeting began with the recognition of three new Live Well San Diego partners, including Biocom, Legal Aid Society of San Diego and The San Diego Foundation.  The three organizations that were recognized with a proclamation from the Board are good examples of the types of organizations that are joining with residents and the County of San Diego to make a greater impact on the lives of the 3.2 million people living in the region. 

KGTV San Diego/Azteca America (Channel 10), a current Live Well San Diego partner, was also recognized with a proclamation for their ongoing support to promote the Live Well San Diego vision to viewers, including sponsorship of regular public service announcements.

The proclamations were followed by a presentation and formal recognition of all the Live Well San Diego partners from Helen N. Robbins-Meyer, Chief Administrative Officer for the County of San Diego.  Robbins-Meyer celebrated the success of the County and its partners to come together, share best practices, and co-create strategies to address priority needs in the region and create progress in the Top 10 Live Well San Diego Indicators. The Indicators show that, together, the County and its partners are contributing in positive and unique ways to provide residents with the tools to be self-sufficient, enjoy a quality life, and create healthy, safe and thriving communities. And yet, there is room to do more.

Following the presentation, the Board of Supervisors also commended the efforts of all 150 Live Well San Diego recognized partners who have collaborated to drive positive change in the region in support of the Live Well San Diego vision.  The Live Well San Diego Partners Report describes these efforts and complements the County’s Annual Report which highlights its contribution to the vision.
