A Place for Mom, Inc. joined Live Well San Diego as a Recognized Partner on June 12, 2018. A Place for Mom is a free service connecting families to local senior care. Founded 15 years ago to help families navigate the maze of senior housing options, A Place for Mom has since grown to become the largest senior living referral service in the U.S. and Canada.
A Place for Mom has dedicated themselves to being a top comprehensive senior living resource for San Diego County residents, providing information and resources tailored to the individual needs of the persons and families they serve at no charge. They are actively engaged in the San Diego Fall Prevention Task Force, working to provide education through regular Fall Prevention presentations and resources for older adults and their caregivers, with a goal of decreasing the risk of injury from falls.
A Place for Mom is dedicated to serving the San Diego Community and promotes and participates in the annual Alzheimer’s Walk. They are also committed to continuing to advance Live Well San Diego into the future among their own workforce by offering paid leave to employees to encourage volunteerism and are active partners on the Live Well San Diego Regional Leadership Teams’ Community Health Improvement Plans.
