The Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine (AIHM) joined Live Well San Diego as a Recognized Partner on September 26, 2018. Founded in 2014, AIHM is a 501(c)3 non-profit interprofessional association embracing a person-centered, team-based approach to health creation. We provide transformational educational programs, connections to a global network and valuable resources for our community.
AIHM envisions a world where health care is available to all, where prevention is the foundation, where health care providers work collaboratively to heal body, mind, and spirit, where sustainability is integrated into culture, practice and training, and where working together establishes a new paradigm of care for humanity and the planet.
The AIHM community, which includes members, fellows, faculty, staff, board and patients, builds a bridge between providers and patients. AIHM fosters engagement among local integrative health care providers through open regional meetings, access to integrative health e-learning, an interprofessional fellowship program, and an annual People, Planet, Purpose conference held in San Diego.
AIHM is committed to continuing to advance Live Well San Diego into the future and is embracing strategies of this vision through collaborative engagement with the County of San Diego, and with local and international partners in supporting a healthy, safe, and thriving region.
