Alpine Union School District joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner October 18th, 2017. Alpine Union School District serves about 1,750 students in grades K-8 in six schools and has a strong track record of putting student excellence first. The district values community participation and is committed to promoting better physical, mental and social well-being. Alpine Union School District has taken a stand against bullying with a comprehensive Parent/Student Tool Kit for students, educators and families and actively works together put an end to all bullying.
Alpine Union School District recognizes the link between student health and learning and is dedicated to providing a comprehensive learning environment that supports and promotes lifelong wellness through nutrition and fitness. They have demonstrated a commitment to student’s health through a robust school garden program that brings local partners, community members and students together for hands on nutrition education lessons. With a diverse array of student programming, such as dual Spanish immersion, robotics and the Leader in Me project, Alpine Union School District has proven its desire to build a positive school culture and looks forward to future collaborations in support of the Live Well San Diego vision.
