The Arc of San Diego joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on June 16, 2017. The Arc of San Diego's mission is to support and empower people with disabilities to achieve their life goals. Founded in 1951, the Arc of San Diego has grown to be one of the largest, most comprehensive service providers for people with disabilities in San Diego County. Every year, the Arc of San Diego provides a wide range of support to approximately 2,500 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, and Down syndrome. Programs include early intervention services for infants and toddlers, adult day programs, residential services, independent living skills training, respite services, vocational training, employment placement programs, and recreational opportunities.

Today, The Arc of San Diego is a well-respected organization with over 1,000 professional staff dedicated to providing a wide array of life-improving services at 20 locations throughout the county. The Arc of San Diego has a rich tradition of developing and implementing innovative, solution-oriented programs that meet the needs of children and adults with a wide range of developmental disabilities. Programs and services enable people with disabilities to maximize their potential, live meaningful lives, and become integral members of the community.
