Borrego Health joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on September 13, 2016. Borrego Health is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Federally Qualified Health Center and a Federal Tort Claims Act Deemed facility with 19 different locations in southern California, six of which are located in San Diego County.
Borrego Health provides a wide variety of programs and services, including primary care, dental services, specialty care, chronic disease management, women’s health and prenatal services, pediatrics, behavioral and mental health services and alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention. They are proud to offer services for Veterans and their families and their behavioral health program is a leader in the region. Highly trained staff meet the needs of Veterans coping with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as mild to moderate behavioral health issues. Their established partnerships within the community allow them to provide assistance for those with Traumatic Brain Injury and other medical conditions. They also perform outreach, advocacy and education to encourage communities to make positive choices and improve the lives of residents.
