The Chula Vista Olympic Training Center (CVOTC) joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on June 23, 2015. CVOTC became a Live Well San Diego recognized partner because of their exemplary efforts to support overall health and wellness for athletes, staff, children and families. CVOTC is one of three Olympic Training Centers in the country, training elite athletes and providing a variety of support and services to the community. For more than 10 years, the CVOTC has partnered with the Chula Vista Elementary School District and the County of San Diego’s Aging and Independence Services to host the South Region Intergenerational Games, dedicated to bringing older adults and young students together to interact in physical activity games. The CVOTC is a smoke-free and alcohol-free facility and has a sport psychologist on staff for athlete mental health and preparation. The CVOTC also understands the importance of safety which is why they have served as an evacuation point in previous firestorms.
The CVOTC wholly supports Live San Diego and is committed to upholding the goals of Live Well San Diego by providing safe, healthy, and thriving environments for their athletes, staff, children and families. The CVOTC has shown outstanding service and leadership.
