Father Joe's Villages

Father Joe’s Villages (FJV) joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on May 22, 2015. FJV is San Diego’s largest residential homeless services provider and has been empowering people to achieve self-sufficiency for more than 65 years.

The Village and their compassionate staff help families thrive through on-site supportive services including multidisciplinary team support, therapeutic childcare, substance abuse treatment and daily meals. They also offer employment skills training, assistance in securing employment and permanent housing—outcomes that benefit the social and economic health of our community as a whole.

At Father Joe's Villages:

  • 784 people successfully moved into permanent housing
  • 7 in 10 adults who were served by one of the Transitional Housing teams exited to permanent housing
  • 80% of the youth who exited Toussaint Academy obtained permanent housing
  • 14,938 adults and children were helped by FJV in 2014
  • A total of 1,765 children in 727 families were helped by FJV
  • Helped 1,627 Veterans
  • Served 1,048,051 meals annually, an average of 2,871 meals each day

Father Joe’s Villages is committed to continuing to advance Live Well San Diego by improving the quality of life for individuals and families struggling with homelessness and empower them to take positive actions for their own health, safety and well-being.
