In addition to clinical services, Founder and CEO of Kim Bell Physical Therapy, Dr. Kim Bell, DPT, remains an active member of the San Diego Fall Prevention Task Force for well over a decade. In 2008, Dr. Kim Bell, DPT began her tenure as Chair and led several major projects, including the development of a fall prevention online resource guide and provider toolkit. Under her leadership, Task Force members successfully advocated for several local cities and the County of San Diego to proclaim “Fall Prevention Awareness Week” in September 2010. Through her tireless outreach, the Task Force has grown to over 300 members and in 2011, Dr. Kim Bell, DPT was named “Public Health Champion” by the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency for her work on community-based fall prevention. In addition to her involvement with the San Diego Fall Prevention Task Force, she has also been a professional educator for her physical therapy colleagues and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the California Physical Therapy Association, and the Vestibular Disorders Association.
