The National Conflict Resolution Center (NCRC) joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on January 20, 2016. NCRC became a Live Well San Diego partner by providing resources, training and expertise to help people, organizations and communities manage and solve conflicts, with civility. Founded in 1983 by the University of San Diego Law Center and the San Diego County Bar Association, NCRC has managed over 20,000 mediation cases and provided conflict management training to thousands of individuals and organizations interested in building the capacity for peaceful conflict resolution in the San Diego region.
With these goals in mind, NCRC in partnership with the County of San Diego brought its signature conflict management training, The Exchange, to members of historically disadvantaged communities through the Live Well San Diego Exchange. Through the Live Well San Diego Exchange initiative, homeless individuals, veterans, at-risk youth and refugees have been provided free training to increase valuable life skills that have positive impacts to both their personal and professional lives.
