North County Philanthropy Council joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on April 28, 2017. The mission of North County Philanthropy Council is to promote and strengthen philanthropic impact in our communities. Founded in the mid-1980’s by 38 organizations and individuals, today North County Philanthropy Council has a membership of over 185 organizations.
North County Philanthropy Council provides education and training in fundraising and leadership development to promote the values of philanthropy while fostering communication among those in the nonprofit sector. North County Philanthropy Council brings professionals, volunteers, donors and businesses together from a variety of sectors including health and human services, education and research, environment, arts and military to improve the life of local residents.
In 30 years, North County Philanthropy Council has honored over 1,200 extraordinary volunteers who have made a difference in the community and in 2016, North County Philanthropy Council was the recipient of the County of San Diego Neighborhood Reinvestment Program grant and Community Enhancement grant. North County Philanthropy Council is a vital organization for a strong nonprofit community in North County and their work will benefit generations to come.
