Paving Great Futures joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on December 7, 2016. Paving Great Futures is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing young adults, substance abusers and formerly incarcerated persons with entrepreneurial training, workforce readiness training, a job placement program and life counseling services. Since 2004, Paving Great Futures has been helping high-need at-risk individuals to gain employment, become entrepreneurs, and develop into exemplary leaders who have a positive impact in their community.
Paving Great Futures provides the tools for people to transform their lives by fostering behavioral changes that promote responsibility for self and community, healthy relationships and positive contributions to society.
Paving Great Futures successes include helping 21 mentees gain employment in San Diego through its Culinary Hospitality Management Program (CHAMP), which teaches culinary skills, the operation of a mobile food service business and human resources management.
Collaborating with numerous community partners, Paving Great Futures positively impacts the Southeastern San Diego community and the Central Region with activities and events that include a Youth Hip Hop Summit, the 4 Corners of Life Annual Community Celebration and serve as instructors for the San Diego Community Mentors Certification Training at Alliant University.
Paving Great Futures is committed to advancing the Live Well San Diego vision by continuing to empower the community through personal economic development.
