The San Diego County Employees’ Charitable Organization (CECO) became a Live Well San Diego Recognized Partner on November 4, 2016. Founded in 1956, CECO is the charitable arm of the County of San Diego and supports local non-profit agencies that strive to implement programs to meet the needs of our diverse communities so that San Diego is a safe and livable community where all of its residents can thrive.
Over the last 60 years, CECO has distributed over $6.7 million to the local community by awarding grants to local non-profit programs that support the diverse needs of the San Diego region and support Live Well San Diego’s strategy agenda goals involving housing, transportation, arts and culture, natural environment, safety, homelessness, and mental health issues, to name a few.
CECO is committed to continuing to advance the Live Well San Diego vision into the future by stimulating among the employees and retirees of the County of San Diego an interest towards the health, recreation and human-care needs of the residents of San Diego County.
