San Diego Domestic Violence Council joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on October 1, 2019. They are dedicated to identifying solutions that end domestic violence and build healthy relationships. Their mission is to bring the community together to end domestic violence and promote healthy relationships in San Diego County.
San Diego Domestic Violence Council was established in 1989 and served as a hub for creative development and planning to address the issue of domestic violence in San Diego County. Today, they are made up of over 300 member organizations including domestic violence service programs, criminal justice agencies, social service agencies, community members, and more.
San Diego Domestic Violence Council provides education opportunities for staff and community members, increases public awareness regarding domestic violence, and works with organizations to improve prevention, intervention, and response practices.
San Diego Domestic Violence Council is committed to advancing the Live Well San Diego vision by empowering and improving the lives of San Diego residents so they can live a happy, healthy, and meaningful life.
