St. Luke’s North Park is a Christian community that seeks justice and healing in the colorful and dynamic North Park neighborhood of San Diego.
Since 2004, it has become one of the primary cultural centers for South Sudanese Americans in the city, and a majority of former refugees serve on the board, including the board chair of 2019. They are proud to host nearly 30 twelve-step support meetings on campus each week and serve as the center of North Park’s homeless community through a partnership with the Uptown Community Services Center.
They dream to be a place where all people can enter into friendships with others different than themselves; different races, ethnicities, classes, creeds, sexual orientations, and gender identities, and find their perspectives and hearts transformed.
St. Luke’s is also a proud partner with RefugeeNet and the International Rescue Committee on an urban farming and commercial kitchen project on its North Park property.
