Earlier this year, the County of San Diego made the commitment to join the AARP Network of Age-Friendly Communities, as well as focus on efforts to make the county region “dementia-friendly,” or better able to support individuals with dementia and their loved ones. These initiatives involve a multi-year process of assessing needs, implementing a plan, and evaluating results.
To build upon the feedback gathered at community forums in the spring, the County of San Diego is conducting additional public feedback sessions. Join an interactive session to brainstorm how to make San Diego County a shining example of an age-friendly community. Older adults, caregivers, professionals, or those who care about older adult issues are all welcome. Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP here or by calling 844-899-1597.
