Paradise Valley Hospital joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on February 18, 2015 during their annual employee recognition event. At the event, employees got to see first-hand their hard work and dedication recognized by the County of San Diego. Some of the employees were recognized for over 40 years of service.
Paradise Valley Hospital has been serving patients and their families for over 100 years in the South Region. Their mission is to provide comprehensive quality healthcare in a compassionate, convenient and cost-effective manner. In order to do that, Paradise Valley Hospital’s Governing Board established the Center for Health Promotion in 1990 to identify and address the health education and wellness services of employees, volunteers and the community. Their Center for Health Promotion health and wellness programs are aligned with the County of San Diego’s Live Well San Diego vision by encouraging healthy lifestyles.
Paradise Valley Hospital has a history of working in partnership with the County’s Public Health Services to help improve the quality of life of the patients and families they serve. In the future, Paradise Valley Hospital will participate in the Love Your Heart Campaign, continue to coordinate the National City Health and Wellness Fair, and participate in the Intergenerational Games.
