Arts for Learning San Diego became a Live Well San Diego Recognized Partner on January 26, 2017. Since 1963, Arts for Learning San Diego envisions a world where all students, families and communities imagine, create and thrive through the arts. Arts for Learning San Diego provides arts education and advocates for enriching the lives of all children throughout the region while inspiring self-confidence, building critical thinking and problem solving skills and supporting student development.
The world needs workers and leaders who are creative, disciplined and visionary. The arts—music, dance, theater and the visual arts—foster those qualities in today's students and tomorrow's workforce. Arts for Learning San Diego assemblies, workshops and residencies introduce students to the arts, enliven communities and connect to school curriculum in the areas of math, language arts, science, history, social studies and multicultural studies.
Arts for Learning San Diego is committed to advancing the Live Well San Diego vision by stimulating among its students and leadership an interest toward the health, recreation and human-care needs of the residents of San Diego County.
