The Centre for Cross Border Studies joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on November 24, 2016. The Centre for Cross Border Studies is committed to establishing sustainable partnerships between various international sectors in an effort to achieve their mission of providing international leadership to optimize the quality of life in border regions.
The Centre has a unique role in contributing to increased social, economic and territorial cohesion through promoting and improving the quality of Cross-Border Cooperation, improving the capacity of people involved in social and economic development, and addressing information gaps and other barriers that constrain cross-border mobility and cross-border cooperation.
The Centre for Cross Border Studies has a strong desire to share its research knowledge and a number of cross-border collaborative project management and evaluation toolkits in order to help San Diego’s border region become safer, healthier and thrive. By providing these tools, the Centre for Cross Border Studies strives to enhance the San Diego/Baja California border relations by improving cross-border leadership, project management, evaluation and border impact assessments.
In addition to publishing and commissioning works of cross-border policy research, the Centre for Cross Border Studies also engages in a range of practical activities with the intention of facilitating cross-border cooperation in the areas of healthcare, public safety, education, business, training, and overall civic engagement.
The Centre for Cross Border Studies-Ireland is the first European Live Well San Diego partner to contribute to the County of San Diego’s vision of a healthy, safe and thriving region. The Centre for Cross Border Studies is committed to continuing to enhance efforts that support a thriving border region and a better quality of life for all residents.
