Christie's Place

Christie’s Place joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on December 4^th, 2016.  Christie’s Place is a nonprofit social service organization in San Diego County that provides comprehensive HIV/AIDS education, support, and advocacy to women, children and families impacted by HIV/AIDS. Their mission is to empower women, children, families and individuals whose lives have been impacted by HIV/AIDS to take charge of their health and wellness.

Christie’s Place is dedicated to delivering comprehensive services such as medical case management; mental health services; childcare; family casework; patient navigation; and outreach. This also includes pursuing Policy and Environmental Change by providing leadership and advocacy trainings to women living with HIV locally and nationally. By providing a comprehensive social service in a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, Christie’s Place encourages those they serve to improve the quality of their lives.

Christie's Place is committed to advancing the Live Well San Diego vision by collaborating with local medical and social service providers to create systemic change for greater access, engagement, and linkage to care for women living with HIV in San Diego County. Christie’s Place promotes health and wellness for their clients, families and employees through a Wellness Committee and their Walk and Learn initiative.

Until there is a cure, Christie’s Place is committed to serving women, children, families and individuals living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. Christie’s Place aims to continue providing support to women and families, foster self-empowerment and leadership skills for women, increase access to health care, and mobilize women in advocacy work to strengthen the voices of women living with HIV in determining policy that directly affect their lives.
