City Heights Community Development Corporation (CHCDC) joined Live Well San Diego as a Recognized Partner on March 24, 2018. Incorporated on April 8, 1980, CHCDC mission is to enhance the quality of life in City Heights by working with the community to create and sustain quality affordable housing & livable neighborhoods & foster economic self-sufficiency.
CHCDC is a proactive, dynamic and forward looking organization that provides a range of community and economic development services which address identified needs within the community. Programs which have been created in order to assist residents of City Heights include: Affordable Housing, Resident Services, Economic Development, Active Transportation, Community Engagement, Neighborhood Enhancement, and Workforce Development. Together these services and programs help City Heights’ residents overcome considerable disadvantages in housing, business, employment, health, education, and poverty.
By becoming a partner, CHCDC will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Network of Live Well San Diego champions and partners to achieve the greatest collective impact possible for creating and sustaining safe, healthy, and thriving communities.
