Fallbrook Land Conservancy

The Fallbrook Land Conservancy (FLC) joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on July 20, 2018.  The FLC was founded in 1988 as a private non-profit organization that is dedicated to preserving the natural beauty and enhancing the rural character of Fallbrook.

The FLC serves as a community resource that provides environmental educational programs, initiatives, volunteerism, and restoration and maintenance projects for more than 2,000 acres of permanently protected open space and over 950 acres of conservation easements owned by the FLC.  Six of these areas are open for hiking and recreational activity, helping to promote environmental stewardship through education and better health for all through access to nature.

The FLC works with community members along with state and federal agencies to permanently protect the North County’s natural areas to ensure native habitat and open spaces exist for future generations.  The FLC also hosts several community events such as Stagecoach Sunday, photo contests, conservation work parties, road cleanups, community hikes, the annual 9/11 Fallbrook Firefighters Memorial Hill Climb on Monserate Mountain and more.
