Home Start, Inc. joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on June 10, 2015. Home Start, Inc. has partnered with the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency on various projects, including the Child Abuse Prevention Coordinating Council, Unaccompanied Homeless Youth Initiative, and Trauma Informed Services Initiative. Their mission is to assure the safety and resiliency of children by strengthening families and their communities, with an emphasis on community-based collaborative efforts to reach at-risk children and families. Home Start Inc. implements programs focusing on self-sufficiency, helping families identify their strengths to build a better future for themselves, their children, and in turn for their communities.
An active participant in the Live Well San Diego Central Region Leadership Team as well as the East Region Collaborative Network, Home Start Inc. is dedicated to advancing Live Well San Diego through embracing strategies such as Trauma Informed Services, Evidence Based Practices, Increasing Access to Care, and Creative Workforce Development which includes a social enterprise component.
