North County Lifeline joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on April 21, 2014 after their Board of Directors passed a resolution on March 17, 2014. North County Lifeline became a Live Well San Diego partner by identifying and responding to the social and wellness needs of the North County communities in order to effectively work to build self-reliance among youth, individuals, and families through high quality services, education and collaboration. North County Lifeline provides comprehensive services, such as case management and counseling to victims of human trafficking and to children and their families struggling with a broad spectrum of mental health illness.
In 2012-13, 2,457 children, youth and their families were served through more than 45,000 individual, family and group counseling sessions. North County Lifeline also assists hundreds of residents each year in enrolling in health insurance so that they can ensure their health and wellness as they strive for self-reliance. The leaders at North County Lifeline understand the vital role that collaboration and partnership play in improving the health, safety and wellbeing of residents and have not only worked to build vast networks of support for residents, but also have played a key role in the development and on-going leadership of the Live Well San Diego North County Community Leadership Team with Don Stump, CEO of North County Lifeline, as the team’s co-chair. Don Stump is also the president of the Alliance for Regional Solutions and serves as a key connection to this collaborative which strives to advocate for practical solutions to emerging community needs in the North County region. Looking forward, North County Lifeline plans to continue to partner with the County of San Diego in support of Live Well San Diego to improve the health and well-being of residents in the region.
