St. Pauls Senior Services joined Live Well San Diego as a
recognized partner on December 5, 2017. St. Paul's Senior Services has
been caring for San Diego Seniors since 1960. St. Paul’s Senior
Services provides affordable, innovative, and comprehensive programs
in a non-denominational environment with great value placed on optimal
independence at all stages of life.
Above and beyond day-to-day operations, St. Paul's Senior services
is commited to social accountability by giving back to the community
with significant contributions of staff time, Resident engagement and
financial resources. Some highlights include:
- Provided 5,954 clinical
rotation hours for 69 RN and CNA studetns at St. Paul's John A.
McColl Family Health Center.
- Provided financial support and
personal care basic needs totaling $158,400 to participants of two
St. Paul's PACE sites for the most medically fragile, low-income
seniors.
- Participated for 18 months of regular meetings in
the collaborative development of Talmadge gateway, a new supportive
housing community for formerly homeless seniors in San Diego
- Incurred 584 staff hours in community support and
coalition-building through participation in groups including the
Lions Club board, ElderHelp of San Diego, Meals-on-Wheels, Rotary
Club, Alzheimers's Association, the Howell Foundation Board, and the
San Diego Senior Alliance.
- Provided free use of space
totaling 1,780 hours to organizations including OHR Shalom
Synagogue, voter polling stations, the Health Insurance Counseling
and Advocacy Program (HICAP), Sharp Hospital Foundation, various
church organizations, the Museum School and Toastmasters clubs
St. Paul's Senior Services is dedicated to serving the physical,
spiritual and social needs of the elderly, fostering a culture of
diversity and inclusion consistent with personal and affordable choices.
