United Way of San Diego County

United Way of San Diego County joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on October 21, 2014.  Since 1920, United Way has brought people, organizations and communities together around a common cause, a common vision, and a common path forward.  United Way envisions a vibrant community built on opportunity for everyone to spark breakthrough community action that elevates every child and family toward a brighter future.

United Way is working to change the odds for every child, through quality education. Using a collective impact approach – unifying the resources of dozens of local partners – they’ve been able to improve the lives of children and their families across the region. This cross-sector collaborative approach takes all of us, from all walks of life, working together to be a part of local solutions. Their goal is to disrupt the cycle of poverty by investing in education and family stability - giving local children a healthy start at school and helping our families to succeed.

Through their work to address education, family stability and homelessness, the United Way of San Diego County is helping to advance the Live Well San Diego vision across the region.
