AMR joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on June 4, 2014. AMR is the largest provider of 9-1-1 emergency medical transportation in San Diego County, with their crews responding to 120,000 calls annually. They promote prevention by offering free community outreach and education efforts and educating the public on different health topics including injury prevention, CPR/AED education, proper use of the 9-1-1 and child passenger safety. AMR also provides a comprehensive employee wellness initiative that includes access to physical and mental wellness resources.
AMR was recognized as one of the County of San Diego Public Health Champions in 2011 and partner annually for the “Love Your Heart” Campaign, offering free blood pressure screening sites throughout the county on Valentine’s Day.
