The YMCA of San Diego County joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on February 25, 2015. Founded in 1882, the Y focuses on three key areas to strengthen families and the community: youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. With 16 health and wellness facilities county-wide, hundreds of thousands receive the support, guidance, and resources needed to achieve a healthy lifestyle at the Y each year. To encourage physical activity, they partnered with the Challenged Athletes Foundation® (CAF) to provide a complimentary lifetime Y membership to more than 150 local, physically challenged athletes and their families. A partnership with Scripps Health also enables them to provide health and wellness information throughout the year including education, onsite screenings and physical lectures.
Live Well San Diego is proud to welcome the YMCA of San Diego County as a partner with hopes of collaborating to continue encouraging healthy lifestyles that promote the development of the spirit, mind and body.
